John Barrowman Signs Record Deal |

The Daily Record reports that John Barrowman has recently signed a four-record deal with Sony. Already experienced with musical recording this will be his first venture into recording pop hits.

Doctor Who Barred from Voting |

According to Pendle Today, Red Dwarf has been voted "Best Sci-Fi Show of all Time" from a poll of a miniscule 3,000 readers of the Radio Times. What makes this poll particularly interesting is that Doctor Who was barred from the ballots for being 'too obvious'.
According to the article, they expected Doctor Who to win if it was placed on the ballots as they were quoted as saying: "[Doctor Who] usually wins every sci-fi and fantasy show poll going..."
Irregardless, congratulations to the production team of Red Dwarf who have won a tenuous if not fair victory.

BBC Press Release on Torchwood |

Torchwood is currently filming a new series and is said to return to screens early next year. Torchwood will air on BBC2.
